Q: What are the requirements for individuals seeking to apply for a New York Real Estate Salesperson License?
A: In order to apply for a New York Real Estate Salesperson License, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have no felony convictions or disqualifying criminal offenses
- Possess a Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
- Successfully complete a 77-hour Salesperson qualifying education course from a school approved by the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS)
- Pass the New York State Salesperson Licensing Exam
- Submit a completed Salesperson application, along with all required documents and fees, to the NYSDOS.

A: The Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Course consists of 77 hours and is divided into 20 lectures and an additional 2 hours of Fair Housing reading material. The course is offered in both in-person and video lesson formats. In-person classes are scheduled regularly, while video lessons are self-paced, allowing students to tailor their schedules to their needs. The course can be completed as quickly as two to three weeks, or as long as one year. Students have the flexibility to adjust their pace based on their availability and personal study habits.
Q: What are self-paced video lectures?
A: Our course packages comprise self-paced video lectures, which are recorded video lessons of our 77-hour course. The video lectures can be accessed on any mobile device or PC during the package's valid period. Each lecture is approximately 2-3 hours long and includes a 10-question quiz. Once you pass the quiz, the lecture is marked as complete. After completing all 20 lectures, you may take the school exam.

A: The final review package comprises 400 intensive questions designed by our instructor, accompanied by explanatory videos for all 400 questions. Additionally, it features a 250-question practice test that simulates the state exam.
Q: What is Continuing Education?
A: The Department of State mandates that all licensed real estate salespersons and brokers renew their license every two years. To renew their license, they must complete a 22.5-hour continuing education course as required by the DOS. The Premium pack includes one free continuing education course.
